Requirements vary by state, but most programs share the same three basics. If you check all three boxes, there's a good chance you qualify.
Both homeowners and renters may qualify, depending on the program and your state. The home must be your primary residence, not a vacation property or rental you don't live in.
Household income generally needs to be at or below 150% of your county's Area Median Income (AMI). If you're at or below 80% AMI, you'll likely pay nothing at all. Limits vary by county, the eligibility check confirms yours in about a minute.
